  • Apply empty-container weight from a tare label before processing gross product weight
  • Configure supported GS1, EAN/UPC, and custom label layouts
  • Choose automatic or confirmed cart entry for eligible product-label results

Additional POS locations are billed at $3.00/location/month.

Tare formats require an enabled weight product group, a distinctive fixed pattern, and an explicit weight unit. A tare scan applies a deduction without adding a cart line.

Prices are in USD and show current public rates. Active add-ons keep their saved rate while remaining on the same tier. Cancelling ends price protection; reactivating or changing tiers uses the current offer. Your in-app offer may differ.

Price, weight, combined and tare barcode workflows

The Price embedded barcode add-on supports four value types in Shopify POS. Choose a format matching what your label actually contains, including its units, decimal places, and product code where applicable.

Price. Read the package total and derive a measurement from the matched product’s configured unit price. Follow the price-barcode guide.

Measurement. Read weight or another measured amount and calculate its price using the product’s configured unit rate. Follow the weight-barcode guide.

Price and measurement. Use both values encoded on the label directly. Configure the money and measurement fields with their own decimal settings and the appropriate measurement unit; a combined label does not need weight to be derived from its total.

Tare. Apply an empty container’s weight before processing gross product weight. Tare matching requires an enabled weight group and an explicit unit, and does not identify a product or add a cart line. Follow the tare-barcode guide.

Product formats can keep a known prefix for a specific match or use ignored positions where the label layout requires them. Tare formats require fixed identifying digits. Check your actual scanner output and refresh the POS tile after saving format changes.
